NHAI Implements Toll Rate Hike on Key Highways in Karnataka from April

Travellers to Experience Adjusted Rates on Bengaluru-Mysuru and Other Routes

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced a toll rate hike on significant highways in Karnataka, effective from April 1. The revised rates will impact major routes including the Bengaluru-Mysuru and Bengaluru-Hyderabad access-controlled highways, as well as the Hoskote-Devanahalli section of the Bengaluru Satellite Town Ring Road (STRR).

On the Bengaluru-Mysuru access-controlled highway, commuters traversing the 55.63-km Bengaluru-Nidaghatta stretch will now incur toll charges of ₹170 for a one-way trip and ₹255 for a round trip within 24 hours. This marks a slight increase from the previous rates of ₹165 and ₹250, respectively. Similar adjustments have been made for light commercial vehicles, light goods vehicles, minibuses, trucks, and buses (two axles).

For the Hoskote-Devanahalli section of the Bengaluru Satellite Town Ring Road, toll charges have been revised within five months of its inauguration. Rates for various vehicle categories have been adjusted to ₹80 for a single journey, ₹120 for a return journey, and ₹2,720 for 50 journeys in a month for cars, vans, and jeeps.

Similarly, adjustments have been made for toll charges on the National Highway 7 section between the AP/Karnataka border and Devanahalli, with cars, jeeps, vans, and light motor vehicles now facing revised rates of ₹115 for a single journey and ₹175 for a return journey.

NHAI officials emphasize that toll revision is an annual process, aligned with changes in the wholesale price index. The hike reflects NHAI’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure while ensuring its sustainability and maintenance.
