Memorandum Of Understanding (MoU): IRCTC’s CMD Sanjay Kumar Jain and Swiggy’s CEO Rohit Kapoor officially launched this service-focused alliance through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Service Rollout: The initiative kicks off with food delivery at 63 select railway stations, including major hubs like Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Visakhapatnam, and Vijayawada.

Enhanced Travel Experience: This partnership aims to redefine the dining experience for rail passengers, providing the convenience to savor a variety of cuisines from Swiggy’s extensive restaurant network directly at their train seats.

Integration with IRCTC’s E-Catering Portal:

Passengers can now pre-order their meals seamlessly via IRCTC’s e-catering platform, ensuring a hassle-free and enjoyable dining experience during their journey.

Diverse Culinary Choices:

This collaboration is set to broaden the culinary horizons for passengers, offering them a plethora of dishes that showcase India’s rich culinary heritage.

Procedure for Availing Swiggy’s Pre-Ordered Food Service on Trains:

  1. PNR Entry: Enter your PNR number on the IRCTC app, linking your ticket details to the food ordering process.
  2. Station Selection: Choose your station of food delivery from the listed options where the service is available.
  3. Restaurant Selection: Browse through Swiggy’s extensive list of partner restaurants available at the chosen station.
  4. Place Order: Select your preferred meal and finalize the order, ensuring it matches your train’s arrival time at the station.
  5. Delivery Coordination: Swiggy’s delivery personnel are scheduled to arrive at the designated platform ahead of time, ready to deliver the order directly to the passengers.
