In a demonstration of the expanding maritime security collaboration between India and Sri Lanka, the Indian Navy’s fast attack ship, INS Kabra, made a significant port visit to Colombo.
The Fast Attack Craft INS Kabra arrived at Colombo on Monday, receiving a warm welcome from the Sri Lanka Navy. The port call provided an opportunity for strengthening bilateral ties, fostering cooperation, and enhancing camaraderie between the two naval forces.
During the visit, the Commanding Officer of INS Kabra held discussions with Rear Admiral TSK Perera, the Commander of the Western Naval Area of the Sri Lanka Navy. A presentation ceremony was organized, wherein essential spares and stores intended for the Sri Lanka Navy and Air Force were handed over by INS Kabra.
The Indian Navy, in a statement, emphasized that the visit contributes to the realization of the vision outlined by the Prime Minister – SAGAR (Security and Growth For All in the Region). This collaborative approach underscores the shared commitment to regional security and prosperity.
