Gurgaon School Fee Fury: Rs 30,000/Month for Class 3 Sparks Outrage

Concerns Raised Over Lack of Transparency in School Fee Hikes and Financial Strain on Parents”

The issue of exorbitant school fees has once again come under the spotlight following a father’s social media post detailing the steep fees charged by a reputed CBSE school in Gurgaon. With the cost of education soaring, parents are increasingly feeling the financial strain of providing quality education for their children.

The father, in his post on social media platform X, expressed frustration over the lack of transparency in the school’s fee structure. According to his post, the school has been consistently hiking fees by 10% annually without providing any explanation to parents. Despite protests from concerned parents, the school’s response has been dismissive, advising them to seek education elsewhere for their children.

Highlighting the impact of such steep fee hikes, the father revealed that his son, currently in Class 3, attends the school with a monthly fee of Rs. 30,000, excluding transportation costs. If this trend continues, the annual fee would reach a staggering Rs. 9,00,000 by the time his son reaches Class 12.

The post has garnered significant attention on social media, with over a thousand retweets and hundreds of comments. Users expressed outrage over the lack of regulation in private school fees and called for government intervention to cap fees and ensure transparency in fee hikes.

While some users pointed out the profit-driven nature of private schools and the lack of viable alternatives such as homeschooling, others emphasized education as a fundamental right that should not be treated as a luxury.

As the debate continues to unfold online, the issue of skyrocketing school fees raises pertinent questions about accessibility to quality education and the need for reforms in the education sector.
