Mohali, October 31, 2023: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is intensifying its efforts in the ongoing investigations related to the Delhi liquor scam. Today, the ED has initiated a search operation at the residence of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Kulwant Singh, who is a key figure in the unfolding controversy.
Search Operation at Kulwant Singh’s Residence
These coordinated raids are currently underway at Kulwant Singh’s residence in Mohali, a satellite city near Chandigarh. The ED’s operations have also extended to his office in Sector 82. The search operation was executed by a team from the ED, along with the support of central security forces. The focus of these searches is to probe MLA Kulwant Singh’s alleged involvement in the liquor industry.
Concerns Raised by Punjab Governor
These developments come in the wake of recent correspondences from the Governor of Punjab to the Chief Minister of the state, highlighting concerns about regulatory breaches within the liquor industry in Mohali.
