Customer Dissatisfaction Soars: Swiggy Faces Backlash After Content Creator Reveals App Woes

In a widely circulated video, content creator Swati Mukund shared her harrowing experience with the renowned food delivery app Swiggy, shedding light on a potential scam plaguing the market. Mukund detailed her ordeal, recounting how her order placed via the app at 8:20 PM failed to arrive even after an estimated delivery time of 30 minutes, leaving her waiting until 9:00 PM.

During her interaction with Swiggy’s customer care, Mukund expressed her dismay, revealing that her food remained uncollected even after 45 minutes. Astonishingly, the customer service representatives insisted that, based on their records, the order had been picked up at 8:40 PM, granting them until 9:10 PM for delivery.

Growing increasingly frustrated by the delay and Swiggy’s uncooperative response, Mukund lamented her unsuccessful attempts to cancel the order or obtain a refund. She concluded the video by cautioning against relying on Swiggy for food needs, expressing her disappointment with the service.

In an accompanying Instagram post, Mukund called out Swiggy, stating, “Swiggy is not cool at all! This has happened with me and a couple of others I know, which isn’t what I expected of you.” She highlighted paying a delivery fee of 150 rupees for a mere 1.8 km distance.

Addressing comments on her post, Mukund clarified that the issue did not stem from food preparation but rather the delayed delivery. Despite understanding delays in hot meal orders, Mukund found the protracted wait times exasperating, particularly for a pre-made item like the cake she had ordered.

The video struck a chord with many viewers, who shared similar grievances in the comment section, recounting instances of enduring lengthy waits only to have their orders inexplicably cancelled. The incident underscores the challenges faced by users of food delivery apps, underscoring the imperative for transparency and accountability in service provision.
