The much-anticipated final match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 is set to take place on November 19 in Ahmedabad, featuring a high-stakes clash between cricket powerhouses India and Australia. While the winning team will undoubtedly claim the ultimate glory, what’s equally intriguing is the prize money awaiting all participating teams in this cricket spectacle.

World Cup Winning Team & Other Teams’ Prize Money

The victorious team will seize a substantial cash prize of Rs 33 crores, adding an extra layer of incentive to the thrilling battle between India and Australia. The runner-up team, despite falling short of the championship, will not leave empty-handed, as they will be awarded a commendable prize of approximately Rs 16.64 crores.

For the two teams that face defeat in the semi-finals, there is still a consolation prize of Rs 6.65 crores each, recognizing their impressive journey to the penultimate stage of the tournament. Furthermore, the six teams exiting the competition after the group stage matches—England, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and the Netherlands—will receive a noteworthy prize of Rs 83 lakh each, amounting to a collective Rs 5 crores.

Teams that excelled in the group stage matches will not be overlooked, with a reward of Rs 33 lakh allocated for every victorious match. This serves as a testament to the exceptional performances displayed throughout the earlier stages of the World Cup.

In addition to team accolades, individual brilliance will also be acknowledged. The player who amasses the most runs will be honored with the coveted golden bat, while the bowler with the highest wicket tally will receive the prestigious golden ball.

The anticipation surrounding the final match is further heightened by the potential presence of notable dignitaries. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is rumored to attend the event, adding a significant political touch to the cricket extravaganza. However, no official confirmation has been provided yet. Alongside this, Deputy Prime Minister of Australia Richard Marles is expected to grace Ahmedabad with his presence, and luminaries from various fields are likely to join the cricket fervor at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
