Kulgam, India, August 4, 2023: A violent encounter unfolded in the elevated terrain of the Halan forest area within Kulgam district, Jammu and Kashmir, leading to the injury of three Indian Army jawans. In response to the escalating situation, additional police and army units have been rapidly deployed to the site of the encounter. Presently, a group of terrorists is believed to be cornered within the region. The wounded soldiers have been expeditiously transported to a medical facility for immediate treatment. The exchange of gunfire is still ongoing.
As conveyed through a tweet from the Kashmir Zone Police, “Three (03) jawans sustained injuries in the encounter. They are being evacuated to the hospital for treatment.” The authorities are actively engaged in the situation to ensure the safety of all personnel involved.
