Central Railway Introduces Holi Special Train Connecting Pune and Sambalpur

To accommodate the surge in passenger traffic during the upcoming Holi festival, the Central Railway has announced the operation of a special train service between Pune and Sambalpur.

The schedule for the Holi Special Train is as follows:

  • Train No. 08328 Pune-Sambalpur Weekly Special Express: Departing from Pune at 09:15 hrs every Tuesday, starting from March 19, 2024, until April 2, 2024, and arriving at Sambalpur at 13:30 hrs the following day.
  • Train No. 08327 Sambalpur-Pune Weekly Special Express: Departing from Sambalpur at 22:00 hrs every Sunday, running from March 17, 2024, to March 31, 2024, and reaching Pune at 02:45 hrs on the third day.

The special train will make halts at key stations along its route, including Daund Chord Line, Ahmednagar, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Akola, Badnera, Wardha, Nagpur, Gondia, Rajnandgaon, Durg, Raipur, Mahasamund, Khariar Road, Kantabanji, Titlagarh, Balangir, and Bargarh Road, facilitating convenient travel for passengers.

Comprising a total of 22 ICF Coaches, the train includes one AC-2 Tier, four AC-3 Tier, nine Sleeper Class, and eight General Second Class coaches, along with two Luggage cum Guard’s Brake Vans.

Reservation for Train No. 08328 will commence from March 15, 2024, and can be availed at all computerized reservation centers and through the official website www.irctc.co.in.
