BJP Launches “Modi Ka Parivar” Campaign Countering Dynastic Politics Criticism

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has initiated a new social media campaign titled “Modi Ka Parivar” (“Modi’s Family”) in response to recent criticisms from Lalu Yadav regarding dynastic politics. This campaign, gaining swift momentum, involves BJP leaders changing their social media profiles to show solidarity with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Senior BJP leaders, including Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP president JP Nadda, were among the first to adopt the “Modi Ka Parivar” profile name in support of Prime Minister Modi. The move follows Lalu Yadav’s remarks during a Rashtriya Janata Dal rally in Patna, where he questioned Modi’s stance on dynastic politics and even raised questions about why Modi doesn’t have children if he opposes it.

Shehzad Poonawalla, a BJP leader, promptly changed his name to Shehzaad Jai Hand (Modi ka Parivar) on social media platforms, showcasing unity within the party.

On platforms like X (formerly Twitter), BJP leaders posted messages such as “Ham Hain Modi Ka Parivar, 140cr log hai Modi ka Parivar, Main hoon Modi Ka Parivar” to express their support for the campaign.

This campaign is aligned with Prime Minister Modi’s recent speech in Telangana’s Adilabad, where he emphasized that his “family” comprises all 140 crore Indians, irrespective of kinship. Modi asserted that he fights for the people of India and considers them his own family, responding to opposition claims about his lack of a traditional family.

The “Modi Ka Parivar” initiative draws parallels to the “Main Bhi Chowkidar” campaign from 2019, which gained significant traction leading up to the Lok Sabha elections.
