Ayodhya’s Renaissance: From Gunshots to Ramdhun, Yogi Adityanath Unveils City’s Transformation

Lucknow: In a significant declaration, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath affirmed that Ayodhya is entering a new era, one that will echo with the soul-soothing resonance of Ramdhun rather than the disturbing echoes of gunshots. Speaking at the ‘Divine Ayodhya’ conclave organized by The Times Of India, CM Yogi expressed his vision for the city’s future, emphasizing a transformative journey illuminated by Deepotsav and devoid of the ominous silence of curfew.

Yogi Adityanath, who assumed office in March 2017, reflected on how he altered the perception of Ayodhya during his tenure, envisioning a city that not only symbolizes religious significance but also fosters economic growth. The Chief Minister asserted that the revamped temple city would generate employment opportunities for thousands of residents.

Highlighting Ayodhya’s transition, Yogi Adityanath announced plans for the city to become India’s “first solar city” and disclosed preparations for its inaugural international flight. He emphasized that the state government is gearing up to accommodate not just devotees but also a wave of tourists expected after the inauguration of the Ram Mandir.

Following the inauguration of Ayodhya’s Maharishi Valmiki International Airport by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in December last year, the city has witnessed an expansion in air connectivity. Yogi Adityanath revealed, “We are launching another new service on Wednesday. Ayodhya is ready for its first international flight.”

Ayodhya’s revitalization encompasses various facets, including luxury hotels, the introduction of India’s first seven-star vegetarian hotel, enhanced road infrastructure, four-lane connectivity within the city, cleaner ghats, a refurbished railway station, an international airport, and a thriving cruise culture on the Saryu river.

The Chief Minister credited the success of these initiatives to the government’s commitment to dialogue. He highlighted the importance of engaging with the affected population during development projects, ensuring suitable compensation and rehabilitation for those displaced. Yogi Adityanath emphasized, “Democracy will survive only because of this commitment to dialogue.”
