Ayodhya Emerges as Hospitality Hub with Major Investments Ahead of Grand Ceremony

As Ayodhya prepares to host the grand consecration ceremony on January 22, the holy city is witnessing a surge in interest from major hospitality chains. The upcoming Ram Temple has unlocked significant potential for religious tourism, drawing the attention of investors who see Ayodhya as an emerging hotspot in the hospitality sector.

Approximately 50 major hotel construction projects are currently in progress, with well-known brands such as Taj, Marriott, Ginger, Oberoi, Trident, and Radisson establishing their presence in Ayodhya. The city’s charm is further enhanced by good highways, wall paintings depicting the life of Lord Ram, facade lighting, and a grand entrance adorned with Victorian lamps.

During the Global Investment Summit (GIS), 102 intent agreements totaling around Rs 18,000 crore were signed for tourism in Ayodhya. Even post-GIS, entrepreneurs continue to express interest, with proposals flooding the government and district administration for additional investments in the tourism sector.

Divisional Commissioner of Ayodhya, Gaurav Dayal, revealed that 126 projects related to tourism are ready to be implemented, with a total cost of around Rs 4,000 crore. Of these, 46 have signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), and 80 are non-MOU related.

Major hotel projects, collectively investing around Rs 420 crore, are set to redefine Ayodhya’s hospitality landscape. Panche Dreamworld LLP’s ‘O Rama Hotels and Resorts,’ Innovators Digital Ads Pvt Ltd’s ‘Solitaire Ayodhya 5 Star Hotel,’ Evergreen Infrastructure’s ‘Shri Ramya Hotel,’ and Samruddhi Swastik Trading and Investment’s ‘Vishranti Grah’ are among the notable ventures contributing to Ayodhya’s transformation.

As the city gears up for the consecration ceremony and the influx of devotees and tourists, these investments are poised to make Ayodhya a prime destination for religious tourism and a flourishing hub in the hospitality industry.
