Amrit Bharat Express Expands Reach: Three New Trains for Enhanced Connectivity in Bihar

Bihar’s railway network is gearing up for a substantial upgrade with the introduction of three pairs of Amrit Bharat Express trains. This development, announced during the Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, signifies a pivotal leap in India’s rail modernization efforts, particularly benefiting passengers in North Bihar. Set to connect Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, and Barauni, these trains promise enhanced rail services and greater connectivity.

Operational Highlights of Amrit Bharat Trains:

Currently, two pairs of Amrit Bharat trains are already operational in India, traversing routes such as Darbhanga and Malda. Notably, these trains are designed for high-speed travel, boasting speeds of up to 130 kilometers per hour, a substantial improvement from the previous limit of 110 km/h. The infrastructure upgrades to accommodate these higher speeds have been a significant focus of the modernization initiative.

Features of the Amrit Bharat Express:

The Amrit Bharat Express adopts the push-pull technology, akin to the Vande Bharat trains, with a specific focus on providing affordable, comfortable, and faster travel options for the common man. The trains are equipped with engines at both ends, optimizing speed and efficiency. Comprising non-AC sleeper coaches and unreserved general compartments, these trains cater to a diverse range of passengers, ensuring inclusivity in rail travel.

Upcoming Inaugurations by PM Modi:

In a momentous occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the three new Amrit Bharat Express trains during his visit to Bihar on March 2. As part of the inauguration, the Danapur-Jogbani-Danapur Mail/Express will be flagged off virtually. This particular route, passing through Muzaffarpur Junction, is poised to enhance connectivity across various regions, including the capital Patna and the Mithilanchal area. The move aligns with the government’s commitment to bolstering transportation infrastructure and accessibility for citizens.
