Air India Express Expands Network: Launches Daily Direct Flights Between Kozhikode and Mumbai

Air India Express has announced the commencement of daily direct flights between Kozhikode and Mumbai, further solidifying its commitment to providing convenient and efficient air travel options. Kozhikode holds a significant position in the airline’s journey and stands as its largest base for international operations, with 101 weekly flights.

The new schedule, effective from February 22, 2024, offers daily flights with the following details:

  • Kozhikode to Mumbai
    • Departure Time: 01:10
    • Arrival Time: 02:50
  • Mumbai to Kozhikode
    • Departure Time: 22:50
    • Arrival Time: 00:40+1

Air India Express, with this direct route, now seamlessly connects Kozhikode to 15 domestic and international destinations, including Bengaluru, Bahrain, Kuwait, Muscat, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Doha, Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dammam. Additionally, the airline offers convenient one-stop itineraries to 19 destinations, such as Ayodhya, Delhi, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, and Chennai, from Kozhikode.

Kozhikode, a rapidly growing urban district and the Gateway to the Malabar region of Kerala, is expected to benefit significantly from this new connectivity with India’s financial capital, Mumbai. The direct flight is anticipated to unlock numerous growth opportunities for the region, fostering economic development and tourism.

Air India Express currently operates 112 weekly flights from Mumbai, linking the City of Dreams to a diverse range of domestic and international destinations. The airline’s network from Mumbai includes cities like Bengaluru, Delhi, Bhubaneswar, Goa, Jaipur, Ranchi, Madurai, Lucknow, Srinagar, Dammam, Sharjah, and now Kozhikode. Moreover, Air India Express provides convenient one-stop connectivity to 34 destinations, encompassing Ayodhya, Varanasi, Kolkata, Chennai, Lucknow, Gwalior, Dubai, Doha, and Singapore.
