In the recently concluded Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) elections 2023, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has emerged as the dominant force, securing a triumphant win in three of the four major positions, including the coveted President’s post. The National Students Union of India (NSUI) managed to clinch the Vice President’s position, marking a significant political showdown on the campus.

Historical Voter Turnout

The DUSU elections took place after a hiatus of three years, and this year’s polls witnessed an impressive participation from students across 52 colleges and departments of Delhi University. On September 22, students exercised their right to vote in substantial numbers, with a remarkable 42% of the student body turning up at the polling booths.
