In a significant outreach initiative, the Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, launched to connect with citizens at the grassroots level under the Central Government scheme, has witnessed substantial participation in the rural areas of Pune district. A remarkable 1.14 lakh citizens actively engaged in the program across 248 Gram Panchayats, receiving information about government schemes and availing themselves of various benefits.
The Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra employs film strips and pamphlets to disseminate information about government schemes, facilitating direct interaction with citizens for beneficiary registration. During the yatra, 79 Ayushman cards, 70 land record documents, and 28 attachments related to the ‘Har Ghar Jal’ initiative were distributed. Additional provisions included 68 ODF Toilets, 75 Soil Health Cards, 120 Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana Gas connections, 423 Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana enrollments, 258 Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana enrollments, and 74 Ayushman Cards.
Under the health camp organized during the yatra, 20,142 citizens received medical examinations, including 5,370 screenings for tuberculosis and 3,066 patient examinations. Moreover, 1,832 athletes, 6,626 students, 1,448 local artists, and 17,434 women were recognized and incentivized.
The initiative also involved drone demonstrations for farmers, engaging in conversations with 116 farmers about natural farming. Toilet certificates were distributed to 11 beneficiaries, and 45,697 citizens pledged their commitment to a developed India.
The Pune Zilla Parishad and District Administration are urging maximum citizen participation in the Yatra, encouraging individuals to benefit from the array of schemes offered by the Central Government.
