Samsung Enhances Security and Performance: February 2024 Update Now Rolling Out for Galaxy F13

As the calendar flips to February 2024, Samsung is kicking off the month with a security-focused update for its Galaxy F13 devices. The initial rollout of the February 2024 Android security update has commenced, with the patch currently live in South Africa and set to expand to more regions in the near future.

Owners of the Samsung Galaxy F13 can identify the update by the build version E135FXXS5DXB1, and it requires the installation of a package approximately 150.21 megabytes in size. To ensure a seamless download, users are recommended to employ an unmetered connection.

While this monthly security patch doesn’t introduce new features or significant changes, it aims to enhance performance, bring improvements, elevate security and stability, and address common bugs for an optimized user experience.

The February 2024 security update addresses 79 Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) items, with three classified as critical and 76 as high. Additionally, Samsung’s patches cover eight Vulnerabilities and Exposures specific to Samsung’s devices and applications.

As is customary, the update is being rolled out gradually and will become available to users over time. For those who prefer not to wait for the Over-The-Air (OTA) release, manual checking can be done through Settings > Software Update > Download & Install.

Launched in June 2022, the Galaxy F13 boasts a 6.6-inch display with a 60 Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1080×2408 pixels. Powered by an Exynos 850 processor and equipped with a robust 6000mAh battery, the device offers 4GB of RAM, providing users with a reliable and feature-rich smartphone experience.
