One UI 7 Beta Program: Gear Up for the Future of Galaxy (August 2024!)

Google is set to release the third Beta of Android 15 for Pixel devices this month, and Samsung will follow suit by adopting Android 15 for its Galaxy devices with the introduction of One UI 7 later this year. As with all major software updates, Samsung’s One UI 7 will initially be available through a Beta Program.

One UI 7 Beta Program Overview

Samsung’s flagship devices will be the first to access the Android 15-based One UI 7 via the Beta Program. This program is expected to be available in seven countries, including the United States. While flagship models will get early access, mid-range and budget phones will start receiving the major update around November 2024.

One UI 7 Beta Release Timeline

Samsung is anticipated to launch its One UI 7 Beta in August 2024. Although various Android flagships from different manufacturers have begun participating in the Android 15 Beta since Google I/O 2024, Samsung has chosen not to join Android’s native Beta activity.

According to Google’s roadmap, the Android 15 Beta was first released in April. Beta 2 followed in May, with Beta 3 bringing Platform Stability in June, and Beta 4 scheduled for July. Stable Android 15 is expected to arrive on Google Pixel phones in late October this year.

Eligibility for One UI 7 Beta

The initial rollout of One UI 7 Beta will include the Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra. Subsequently, older flagship models such as the Galaxy S23 and S22 series will join the program, along with current and upcoming foldable phones. Additionally, some mid-range models like the Galaxy A55 and A35 may also become eligible for the Beta.

Wider Deployment and Future Updates

The Beta Program will initially cover a limited number of models, but Samsung is known for its extensive international upgrade deployments. The broader rollout of One UI 7 is expected to commence around November, likely after Samsung’s Developer Conference in October.

Looking Ahead

Samsung’s One UI 7 Beta Program is a significant step towards integrating Android 15’s features into Galaxy devices. By offering early access to its flagship users and gradually extending support to other models, Samsung ensures a smooth and innovative user experience. This upcoming update marks another milestone in Samsung’s ongoing commitment to providing cutting-edge technology and user-friendly interfaces.
