Dilip Buildcon Faces Marginal Q3 Profit Decline of 3%, Bolstered by 24% Revenue Surge

Dilip Buildcon Ltd, a key player in the infrastructure industry, released its financial results for the third quarter ending December 31, 2023, reporting a marginal 3.2% year-on-year decline in net profit. The net profit for Q3 FY24 stood at ₹107.4 crore compared to ₹111 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year, as disclosed in a regulatory filing.

Despite the dip in net profit, the company witnessed a robust 23.9% increase in revenue from operations, reaching ₹2,876.8 crore, up from ₹2,322.4 crore in the same quarter of the preceding fiscal year.

At the operational level, Dilip Buildcon showcased significant growth, with EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation) standing at ₹377 crore in Q3 FY24, nearly doubling from ₹157.2 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year. The EBITDA margin also exhibited improvement, reaching 13.1% in the reporting quarter compared to 6.8% in the year-ago period.

The financial results were released after market hours, and shares of Dilip Buildcon Ltd concluded at ₹386.05, reflecting a decrease of ₹25.80, or 6.26%, on the BSE.

Despite the dip in share value, Dilip Buildcon remains optimistic about its performance. The company continues to play a crucial role in the infrastructure sector, navigating challenges and capitalizing on opportunities for growth.
