Under 14 Junior Tennis Nationals: Aaradhya Mhasde’s Triumph Over Fifth Seed

In a thrilling upset, the eleventh seed Aaradhya Mhasde of Maharashtra emerged victorious against the fifth seed Diganth M of Karnataka, securing his place in the Boys’ quarterfinals at the EMMTC – MSLTA organized Junior National Tennis Tournament for under 14. The tournament, conducted under the auspices of the All India Tennis Association (AITA) and the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA), is currently taking place at the EMMTC Tennis complex in Aurangabad.

This remarkable match saw Mhasde battle through a tough three-setter, with a final scoreline of 5-7, 6-3, 6-4. His extraordinary performance showcased his resilience, determination, and exceptional skills on the court. Mhasde’s victory reflects the depth of talent in Maharashtra’s tennis scene and serves as an inspiration for young tennis enthusiasts.

In another closely contested match, eighth-seeded Om Patel of Gujarat faced stiff competition from Neel Kelkar of Maharashtra. Patel eventually clinched victory with a score of 6-4, 6-7(3), 6-3. The tournament’s quarterfinals are turning out to be a showcase of extraordinary talent and fierce competition.

Throughout the Boys’ and Girls’ sections, other seeded players also advanced smoothly into the quarterfinals. The event promises to deliver more thrilling matches and intense showdowns as the competition progresses.

  2. Fazal Ali Meer (TN) (6) secured a victory against Navya Yadav (Del) (10) with a score of 6-4, 6-1.
  3. Shivtej Shirfule (Mah) (3) won against Shlok Chauhan (15) with a score of 6-4, 6-1.
  4. Aaradhya Mhasde (Mah) (11) created a stunning upset by beating Diganth M (Kar) (5) with a score of 5-7, 6-3, 6-4.
  5. Om Patel (Guj) (8) managed to defeat Neel Kelkar (Mah) (12) with a score of 6-4, 6-7(3), 6-3.

  1. Prachi Malik (Har) (1) emerged victorious against Reet Arora (Har) (13) with a score of 6-4, 6-0.
  2. Anandita Upadhyay (Mah) (5) secured a win against Avyaktha Rayavarapu (TS) with a score of 6-2, 6-2.
  3. Savitha Bhuwaneswran (TN) (3) won against Deepshika Vinayagamurt (TN) (14) with a score of 6-1, 6-2.
  4. Karthika Padmakumar (Kar) beat Aahida Singh (Kar) (10) with a score of 6-0, 6-1.
  5. Parthsarthi Mundhe (Mah) (7) won against Ira Deshpande (Mah) with a score of 6-3, 6-1.
  6. Dia Agarwal secured a victory against Twisha Nandankar (Guj) with a score of 6-3, 6-1.
  7. Avipsha Dehury (9) won against Sravya Numburi (TN) (8) with a score of 6-2, 4-1 (conceded).
