Satara, a district in Maharashtra, recently experienced mild tremors, reminding residents of the unpredictable nature of earthquakes. On Tuesday, October 17, at 1:49 pm, the region felt the earth shake as an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3 on the Richter scale struck. This event closely followed another tremor on Monday, October 16, at 11:36 pm, which had also been reported by the National Earthquake Science Center.
Before the Satara tremors, the Delhi National Capital Region (NCR) had its own encounter with earthquake tremors. The National Center for Seismology reported that the epicenter of the Satara earthquake was situated five kilometers beneath the Earth’s surface.
Fortunately, these tremors did not result in any casualties or significant damage, as the 3.3 Richter scale intensity is classified as relatively low. However, authorities are closely monitoring the situation to ensure the safety of local residents and to respond to any future seismic activity.
