Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Aug 27 (UNI) District Guardian Minister Sandipan Bhumre has directed the concerned officials to release water in rotation for agriculture purpose from the dams quickly to save the kharif crops which are on verge of being affected due to scanty rainfall in the district,
While chairing a meeting of the Canal Advisory Committee for Kharif Season 2023 held here on Saturday, he said that in view of below average rainfall in the district during rainy seasin, water should be provided in two rotations for kharif crops from currently available water stock from the Nandur Madhemeshwar Rapid Canal Project in the division as well as the Jayakwadi dam.
It was also decided in the meeting that further rotations should be planned after reviewing the amount of rainfall during the remaining period of monsoon.
