Rao Saheb Danve Patil Ushers in New Era for Mahalaxmi Express: Flags Off Upgraded LHB Rake

Rao Saheb Danve Patil, the Minister of State for Railways, Coal, and Mines, marked a significant milestone in rail travel as he ceremoniously flagged off the upgraded LHB Rake of the 17412 Kolhapur-Mumbai Mahalaxmi Express. The event, which included the inauguration of lifts at Platform No. 1 & 2 at Kolhapur Railway Station, was conducted via a video link on January 25, 2024.

In attendance were prominent figures including Hassan Mushrif, Hon’ble Minister of Medical Education and Guardian Minister Kolhapur, Shri Dhananjay Mahadik, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), and Sanjay Mandlik, Hon’ble MP Loksabha. Also present were Shri Dhairyashil S. Mane, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Hatkanangle, Shri Rituraj Sanjay Patil, Ho’ble MLA Kolhapur (South), Smt. Jayshree Chandrakant Jadhav, Hon’ble MLA Kolhapur (North), and Smt. Indu Dubey, Divisional Railway Manager, along with Branch Officers of Pune Division.

The enthusiasm extended beyond Kolhapur as at Miraj Railway Station, Shri Sanjay Kaka Patil, Hon’ble MP Sangli, and Shri Suresh Khade, Hon’ble Labour Minister, Govt. of Maharashtra, and Guardian Minister Sangli, welcomed the train, officially flagging it off from Miraj.

This momentous occasion witnessed the collaborative efforts of railway officials, with Shri Brijesh Kumar Singh, Additional DRM, and other Divisional officers gracing the event.
