Prime Minister Modi Inaugurates ₹7500 Crores Worth of Crucial Infrastructure Projects in Maharashtra

Shirdi, Maharashtra witnessed a momentous occasion as Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and dedicated a series of pivotal development projects worth approximately ₹7500 crores. These projects spanned diverse sectors, including health, rail, road, oil, and gas, contributing to the growth and advancement of the region.

The inaugurated projects were spread across Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, and included the unveiling of the Ayush Hospital at Ahmednagar Civil Hospital and the electrification of the Kurduwadi-Latur Road railway section, encompassing 186 kilometers.

Prime Minister Modi also laid the foundation stone for significant initiatives, notably the Maternal & Child Health Wing at Ahmednagar Civil Hospital. Among the inaugurated projects were the introduction of the 3rd & 4th railway lines connecting Jalgaon to Bhusaval, the expansion of the Sangli to Borgaon section of NH-166 (Package-I) into a four-lane road, and the addition of facilities at the Manmad Terminal of Indian Oil Corporation Limited.

As a symbolic gesture, Prime Minister Modi distributed Ayushman cards and Svamitva cards to beneficiaries, emphasizing the government’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of citizens. The event also marked the inauguration of the new Darshan Queue complex at Shirdi, providing enhanced facilities for devotees.

During his address, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the completion of the long-pending Nilwande Dam project, underscoring its vital role in addressing water scarcity issues. He highlighted the government’s dedication to social justice through initiatives such as Ayushman card distribution, free ration provision for the underprivileged, and the construction of pucca houses.

Prime Minister Modi stressed the importance of agricultural empowerment, discussing schemes like PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and the recently launched ‘Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana.’ He reiterated the government’s commitment to finishing irrigation projects and strengthening the cooperative movement.

Concluding his speech, the Prime Minister envisioned a prosperous Maharashtra leading to a prosperous India. He acknowledged the expansion of railway networks, improved road connectivity, and the positive impact on industries and farmers in the region.

The event was graced by dignitaries, including Governor of Maharashtra Ramesh Bais, Chief Minister of Maharashtra Eknath Shinde, and Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar. The new Darshan Queue complex at Shirdi, equipped with modern amenities, is set to enhance the overall experience for devotees.
