Maharashtra’s Spiritual Renaissance: Ambitious Plan to Elevate Pilgrimage Sites Unveiled

In a move aimed at bolstering religious tourism and infrastructure, a pivotal Summit Committee meeting, presided over by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, convened to greenlight an expansive development plan for pilgrimage sites across the state of Maharashtra.

The revised development blueprints for three revered pilgrimage destinations – Shri Kshetra Parli Vaijnath, Shri Kshetra Ghrishneshwar, and Shri Kshetra Saptshringi Devi – have been unanimously approved, collectively accounting for an impressive budget of Rs 531 crore.

A Closer Look at the Investments:

  1. Shri Kshetra Parli Vaijnath Jyotirlinga Vikas: The Revised Development Plan for this sacred site is allocated an estimated Rs 286.68 Crores.
  2. Shri Kshetra Ghrishneshwar Pilgrimage: Revered by countless devotees, this pilgrimage site is set to receive a Revised Development Plan budgeted at Rs 163 Crores.
  3. Shri Kshetra Saptshringi Devi Pilgrimage: Enhancements under the Revised Development Plan for this spiritual destination will be carried out with an allotted budget of Rs 81.86 Crores.

These sanctioned plans mark a significant stride towards nurturing religious sentiments and are poised to elevate the spiritual experience of pilgrims. With the allocated funds, these sacred pilgrimage sites will undergo substantial improvements, catering to the spiritual needs of devotees and enhancing the overall aesthetic charm.
