In a significant development, a State Level Committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Umakant Dangat. The committee aims to reevaluate the scope of revenue offices in Maharashtra, introducing new offices and proposing necessary amendments to existing revenue laws.
