Empowering Marathwada’s Youth: 6,600 Unemployed Individuals to Receive Financial Boost Through CMEGP

In a significant move, 6,600 unemployed youths from Marathwada are poised to receive support from various financial institutions through the Chief Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (CMEGP), as announced by BT Yashwante, Joint Director of the Industries Department.

Background of CMEGP:

Launched in August 2019, the CMEGP is a strategic initiative designed to provide financial assistance to young unemployed individuals, fostering opportunities for self-employment and entrepreneurship.

Government’s Commitment to Employment Generation:

With a dedicated focus on robust implementation to generate employment, the government is placing a high priority on the successful execution of the CMEGP. The eligibility criteria for the program are open to youth aged between 18 to 45 years, with a specific emphasis on individuals from SC, ST, women, disabled, and ex-servicemen categories.

Financial Aid Details:

For individuals seeking financial aid of ₹10 lakh, a minimum qualification of seventh grade is required, while tenth-grade education is necessary for ₹25 lakh assistance. The allocation of funds is strategically distributed, with approximately 25% designated for urban areas and about 35% earmarked for rural regions.

Encouraging Online Applications:

BT Yashwante encourages eligible applicants to seize this opportunity by submitting their applications online through the official portal at https://maha-cmegp.gov.in.

This initiative not only addresses the unemployment challenges faced by the youth but also aligns with the government’s broader vision of promoting self-reliance and entrepreneurship in the region.
