EMMTC – MSLTA Asian U14 Tennis Championship Witnesses Three Upsets in Thrilling Matches

Aurangabad, January 16: The EMMTC – MSLTA Asian Under-14 Tennis Championship, organized by MSLTA and EMMTC under the Auspices of the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF), All India Tennis Association (AITA), and Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA), saw three stunning upsets that added excitement to the tournament.

Boys’ Singles Quarterfinals Beckon: Wildcard entrant Smit Undre created a major upset by defeating seventh seed Sanjay Kumar with a score of 6-3, 6-1, securing a spot in the boys’ singles quarterfinals. In another closely contested match, Daivik Kalvakunta triumphed over Vishwas Chandrasekaran 6-3, 4-6, 7-5 in the second round.

Upsets in Girls’ Event: The girls’ event witnessed two notable upsets as Reet Arora ousted seventh seed Jahnavi Tammineedi with a scoreline of 6-4, 6-3, while unseeded Dhaanvi Kanjithanda defeated sixth seed Samyuktha Krishnan 7-5, 2-6, 6-4 to advance to the quarterfinals.
