In a surprising turn of events, Delhi-based lawyer Ajay Srivastava has successfully acquired two agricultural plots in Ratnagiri, previously owned by Dawood Ibrahim’s mother, Amina Bi. The auction witnessed an unprecedented bidding war, with Srivastava paying over ₹2 crores, marking an astounding 1300 times the initial reserve price. Interestingly, the remaining two plots under Amina Bi’s name failed to attract any bidders.
The smallest of the four plots, initially valued at a reserve price of ₹15,440, became the focal point of the auction, showcasing a remarkable surge in value. Ajay Srivastava, who had previously acquired Dawood Ibrahim’s ancestral home in Khed in 2020, justified his decision to bid significantly above the reserve price by citing numerology.
Srivastava explained, “The survey number of this land, my birth date, and the price I quoted add up to a figure in numerology that works in my favor. In 2020, I bought Dawood’s bungalow as well.” He further revealed his philanthropic intentions, stating, “I will establish a school here later. I established ‘Sanatan Dharma pathshala’ at the bungalow of Dawood Ibrahim, which I purchased in 2020.”
