The two young talents clashed on the tennis courts at the EMMTC Tennis Complex in Aurangabad, leaving spectators on the edge of their seats.
The match unfolded in two intense sets, with Anandita Upadhyay emerging victorious with a scoreline of 6-2, 7-5. Her remarkable performance propelled her into the semifinals of the girls’ singles event, which is being held under the Auspices of the All India Tennis Association (AITA) and the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA).
In other girls’ singles quarterfinal matches, tennis enthusiasts witnessed some remarkable action. Third-seeded Savitha Bhuwaneswran of Tamil Nadu displayed her skills with a convincing 6-2, 6-3 victory over Karthika Padmakumar of Karnataka. Meanwhile, seventh-seeded Parthsarthi Mundhe overcame Dia Agarwal with a score of 7-5, 6-1, and second-seeded Aahan from Odisha battled through a tough match against Avipsha Dehury, eventually winning 6-7(3), 6-2, 6-3.
