“Ministry of Labour and Employment Partners with Leading Private Job Portals to Enhance Employment Opportunities”

In a significant move to bolster employment prospects for job seekers across India, the Ministry of Labour and Employment has forged strategic partnerships with prominent private job portals, esteemed companies, and skill providers. These Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) are set to revolutionize the National Career Service (NCS) portal, making it a powerhouse of employment opportunities and services.

Strengthening Job Seeker Services

Under these groundbreaking agreements, renowned private job portals will collaborate by sharing their job listings on the NCS platform. This synergy will create a seamless experience for registered job seekers, enabling them to apply for positions effortlessly. The official signing of these MoUs was presided over by key figures, including Amit Nirmal, Deputy Director General (Employment), Smt. Arti Ahuja, Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, and Shri Ramesh Krishnamurthi, Additional Secretary (Labour and Employment).

Diverse Partnerships for Diverse Opportunities

The Ministry of Labour and Employment has engaged in strategic partnerships with several leading organizations, including TeamLease HRtech (Freshersworld), Monster.com India Pvt Ltd (foundit), QUESS CORP Limited, Delivery Track (VSS Tech), KARPAGA Assessment APP MATRIX Services Private Limited (HireMee), QUIKR INDIA Private Limited, TCS iON, and Firstjob.co.in. These organizations will actively contribute by sharing their job openings on the NCS portal, creating a vast pool of opportunities for registered job seekers. Moreover, these collaborations will also extend their benefits to over 30 lakh eShram registered workers from the unorganized sector who have joined the NCS platform.

Skills Enhancement and Assessment

The Ministry’s MoU with TCS iON marks a milestone in providing free online soft skills employability training, available in both English and Hindi, to NCS-registered job seekers. This training has proven invaluable in enhancing the employability skills of job seekers, enhancing their profiles for potential employers. Additionally, an agreement with KARPAGA Assessment APP MATRIX Services Private Limited (HireMee) will empower job seekers to assess their suitability for specific roles through aptitude tests. This not only benefits job seekers but also streamlines candidate screening for employers, saving crucial time in the hiring process.

A Vision for the Future

Arti Ahuja, Secretary of Labour and Employment, highlighted the significance of these partnerships for job seekers nationwide. She commended the NCS portal’s acclaim from the G20 – Employment Working Group and expressed the Ministry’s commitment to future collaborations with government and private organizations, all aimed at enhancing the NCS’s capacity to serve job seekers and employers more effectively.

The Ministry of Labour and Employment’s proactive approach in forging these partnerships underscores its dedication to addressing the employment needs of the nation.
