Vivek Ramaswamy Endorses Trump as ‘Commander-in-Chief’ Amidst Presidential Exit

At a campaign event at the Atkinson Resort and Country Club in Atkinson, New Hampshire, former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy joined forces with Donald Trump, endorsing him as the “commander-in-chief” for the ongoing battle in the United States. The event took place shortly after Ramaswamy dropped out of the 2024 presidential race and endorsed Trump, who secured victory in the Iowa caucus.

Donald Trump, welcoming Ramaswamy on stage, expressed his gratitude for the endorsement, highlighting Ramaswamy’s leadership qualities. Trump referred to Ramaswamy as a “true leader” and commended his intelligence, calling him a “fantastic guy” with “tremendous ideas” for the future of the country.

Addressing the crowd, Ramaswamy emphasized the critical nature of the current state of affairs, characterizing it as a war between the permanent state and everyday citizens who love the United States. He stressed the need for a commander-in-chief who can lead the country to victory and highlighted the importance of being aware of the ongoing battle.

Ramaswamy, distinguishing himself from traditional politicians, expressed the necessity of a leader who is not “bought and paid for,” emphasizing the value of a businessman in the role. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting Trump and working towards victory in what he perceives as a war for the soul of the nation.

In addition to praising Trump, Ramaswamy took a swipe at fellow Republican candidate Nikki Haley. He criticized her positions on issues such as social security, Medicare, and veterans’ benefits, contrasting them with Trump’s “America First” agenda. Ramaswamy urged the audience to choose a leader who prioritizes the citizens of the United States over other concerns.

The event followed a public exchange between Trump and Ramaswamy just days before the Iowa caucuses. Trump had criticized Ramaswamy for allegedly resorting to deceitful campaign tricks, specifically pointing out shirts distributed by Ramaswamy’s campaign that read ‘Save Trump, Vote Vivek.’ The incident, however, did not hinder their eventual collaboration.

As Ramaswamy aligns himself with Trump, the dynamics of the 2024 presidential race continue to evolve, with alliances and endorsements playing a significant role in shaping the political landscape.
