Orange Poland has taken a substantial leap into the future by officially launching 5G network testing in the heart of Lublin. This strategic move allows both Orange and Nju mobile users in the area to firsthand experience the remarkable capabilities of 5G technology. Notably, this frequency band is currently undergoing an auction process. The 5G tests, scheduled from September 1st to October 15, will harness target frequencies within the 3.4-3.8 GHz band. The outcome is expected to deliver a significant surge in network capacity and speeds, potentially exceeding 1 Gbps.
During this testing phase, users can anticipate blazing speeds of approximately 700-800 Mbps, representing a substantial upgrade from existing 4G LTE speeds. This leap in connectivity is made possible through the utilization of cutting-edge technology, including Massive MIMO.
Massive MIMO Technology: A Game Changer
One of the key elements propelling this technological advancement is Massive MIMO technology. Orange Polska is set to deploy 9 base stations in the vicinity of Lublin’s Old Town.
