Dubai’s Open Door: 5-Year Multiple-Entry Visa Unveiled for Indian Tourists

Dubai has unveiled a new initiative to enhance travel ties between India and the UAE, introducing a five-year multiple-entry visa for Indian tourists. The move comes in the wake of a substantial surge in Indian visitors to Dubai in 2023, with 2.46 million overnight tourists marking a 25% increase from the pre-pandemic era.

The newly introduced visa, with a quick processing time of 2-5 working days, permits a 90-day stay with the option of a single extension for a similar period, not exceeding 180 days in a year. This strategic initiative aims to offer operational flexibility for both business and leisure travelers, fostering seamless connectivity between the two nations.

India maintains its status as the top source market for Dubai, contributing significantly to the record-breaking performance of the emirate’s tourism sector. The Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai anticipates that the five-year multiple-entry visa will further solidify Dubai’s position as a hub for business, investment, and tourism, aligning with the goals of the D33 Agenda.

Highlighting the diverse offerings of Dubai, the department notes that the broad range of attractions caters to various preferences, including luxury shopping, cultural experiences, family-friendly attractions, and business conferences. The move reflects Dubai’s commitment to attracting a diverse audience from the Indian market.

With exceptional flight connectivity and a commitment to the Indian market, the UAE’s strategic approach is expected to amplify awareness of Dubai’s multicultural environment and diverse experiences.
