Corendon Airlines Launches “Adult-Only” Flights: No Infants or Children Below 16 Allowed!

Turkish-Dutch leisure airline, Corendon Airlines, has taken a unique step in enhancing the in-flight experience for passengers. Starting November 3rd this year, the airline will introduce “Adults Only” sections on its flights between Amsterdam and Curaçao. The primary goal behind this innovative initiative is to address the potential discomfort caused by infants and young children during flights by creating dedicated areas exclusively for passengers aged 16 and older on this specific route.

Creating Serenity in the Skies: Corendon Airlines’ ‘Adults Only’ Flight Zones

In this new arrangement, the forward section of the aircraft will be cordoned off to establish these “Adults Only” zones. These sections will consist of nine spacious seats with extra legroom, in addition to 93 standard seats. To ensure a peaceful and serene environment, Corendon Airlines plans to separate this zone from the rest of the aircraft using walls and curtains, creating a secluded space.

According to the airline’s press release, this designated area is designed for travelers who prefer not to be accompanied by children, as well as business passengers seeking a tranquil workspace. It also aims to provide relief to parents traveling with young children who may be concerned about disturbing other passengers.

Peaceful Skies at a Price: The Cost of ‘Adults Only’ Flight Zones

Passengers who wish to enjoy the child-free ambiance of these special areas will need to pay an additional fee. Opting for the “Adults Only” zone on a one-way ticket will incur an extra charge of 45 euros. For those looking to secure an XL seat within this section, an additional payment of 100 euros will be required.

Corendon Airlines is not the first to introduce such measures, as other airlines have implemented similar strategies in recent years. AirAsia X, for example, established quiet zones on its flights, where children under the age of 10 are not allowed. Singapore carrier Scoot also offers “Scoot-in-Silence” zones reserved for passengers aged 12 and older.

By offering these “Adults Only” flight zones, Corendon Airlines aims to provide a more tailored and enjoyable flying experience for passengers, ensuring that both those seeking tranquility and parents with young children can have a comfortable journey.
