Following its inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi last month, the BAPS Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi has officially opened its doors to the public, marking a historic moment for the Hindu community in the region.
To ensure a respectful and sacred atmosphere within the temple premises, guidelines have been established, including a dress code for visitors. The guidelines recommend clothing that covers the area between the neck, elbow, and ankles, discouraging offensive designs, translucent or tight-fitting apparel, as well as clothing with distracting noises or reflections. Additionally, visitors are reminded that pets, outside food and drinks, and drones are strictly prohibited within the temple.
The official announcement of the temple’s opening was made through the BAPS Hindu Mandir’s handle on social media platform X (@AbuDhabiMandir), accompanied by a video showcasing the magnificent temple.
Constructed by BAPS, this temple stands as the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi, featuring Nagara-style architecture adorned with sandstone and marble.
