Mou Signed To Promote Millet In Armed Forces: Exploring the Health Benefits of Millets

The Defense Ministry and the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) have joined forces to promote the adoption of millets and encourage healthy eating habits among armed forces personnel. In a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing ceremony attended by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, the focus was on the consumption of ‘Shree Anna’ (millets) and the associated health benefits.

Millets, which include grains such as sorghum, finger millet, pearl millet, and foxtail millet, offer a range of health advantages due to their abundant nutritional composition.
