The concept of “Healthy Village – Healthy India” propagated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, has ignited inspiration among the masses. Additionally, the dedicated service of Girish Mahajan towards the needy and underprivileged patients of Maharashtra, with the motto “Patient Seva Hich Ishwar Seva” (Service to Patients is Service to God), is a valuable inspiration for society.
In line with these ideals and under the guidance of Girish Mahajan, the Someshwar Foundation in Pune organized a “Free Health Camp” on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Late MLA Vinayak Nimhan. The camp was held at the Agricultural College Ground, Bhosle Nagar, Shivajinagar, Pune on Sunday, 6th August 2023.
As the first stage of this camp, from 22nd July to 4th August 2023, a total of 57,963 patients were pre-screened in the Shivaji Nagar Constituency, covering areas such as Shivaji Nagar, Someshwarwadi, Sutarwadi, Baner, Balewadi, and more. In the second phase, necessary tests like blood, urine, ECG, X-ray, etc., are being conducted free of cost.
The inauguration of the camp will be done by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and the program will be chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Ajitdada Pawar. Dignitaries from all parties, including Union Minister Narayan Rane, Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil, Leader of Opposition Vijay Wadettiwar, Rural Development Minister Girish Mahajan, Food Supply Minister Chhagan Bhujbal, Health Minister Tanaji Sawant, Higher Technical Education Minister Uday Samant, Minority Development Minister Abdul Sattar, Employment Guarantee Minister Sandipan Bhumre, and Shiv Sena deputy leader Sachin Ahir, will be present.
At a press conference held at Pankar Bhawan, former corporator Sunny Nimhan provided details about the camp. The Rameshwar Naik Someshwar Foundation’s office bearers were also present during the conference.
