Kratos Studios Commits INR 50 Cr to Pave the Way for Gaming Studios into the Blockchain Realm

Kratos Studios, the guardian of IndiGG IP, is embarking on a remarkable journey to empower gaming studios worldwide to transition their games onto its blockchain platform. With a generous allocation of INR 50 Crores, Kratos is ushering in the Kratos Games Network program to offer selected studios the means to explore the exciting world of blockchain gaming.

Unlocking the Future of Blockchain Gaming Based in Bengaluru, Kratos Studios has already demonstrated its prowess in monetizing the gaming community, benefiting over 1.5 lakh gamers and generating INR 5 Crores in revenue. With this initiative, Kratos anticipates an astonishing 100-fold increase in the number of gamers benefiting from blockchain integration.

Selected studios will gain access to Kratos’s proprietary blockchain technology stack and tap into its extensive community of 1 million global gamers. This move towards blockchain opens doors for monetization opportunities for developers and gamers alike, enriching the gaming experience.

Going Global with Blockchain Integration Kratos’s vibrant gamer community stretches across the globe, with a particular focus on studios outside India, spanning regions such as LATAM, East Asia, and SE Asia. To make this a reality, Kratos is actively seeking collaborations with established games that boast over 500,000 daily active users (DAUs) and profitability forecasts within 2-3 years. The plan is to partner with around 10 to 15 studios by March 2024.

Manish Agarwal, the former CEO of gaming and media giant Nazara Technologies, founded Kratos Studios. His vision is to welcome studios into the Kratos blockchain ecosystem, where players can earn rewards in the form of “Kratos cash,” an in-house token redeemable through the Kratos app. The initial grant serves as liquidity to fund these rewards, which will eventually be sustained by the game’s earnings.

Creating a Thriving Gaming Community Kratos Studios aspires to forge a vibrant community of gaming studios and players within its blockchain platform. While the program welcomes studios from all around the world, it anticipates that approximately one-third of the participants will hail from India.

Kratos Studios’ Remarkable Journey In August, Kratos Studios expanded its reach into Brazil, establishing its presence on a global scale. In February this year, Manish Agarwal, in collaboration with early-stage investor Ishank Gupta, launched Kratos Studios, a trailblazing Web3 gaming venture. The seed funding round was led by Accel and raised INR 160 Crores at a valuation of INR 1,200 Crores.

Seizing the Momentum in the Indian Gaming Market The launch of the Kratos Games Network coincides with the burgeoning Indian gaming market. Recent data suggests that the Indian mobile gaming market reached $2.2 billion in size in 2022, with projected growth to $5.9 billion by 2028, showcasing a robust compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 18.9% during 2023-2028.

India’s gaming ecosystem is evolving rapidly, attracting substantial investor interest. Gaming startups such as Funstop Games and QuriousBit have secured substantial funding, signaling the immense potential of the Indian gaming industry. Furthermore, startups are looking to expand globally and are making significant investments in both domestic and international markets, contributing to the sector’s meteoric rise.
