Games24x7 and Karnataka Government Join Forces to Ignite Gaming Innovation with ‘GameTech Accelerate

Gaming unicorn Games24x7 has announced a groundbreaking partnership with the Karnataka government to launch ‘GameTech Accelerate – The Future of Gaming,’ an online gaming accelerator initiative. This collaborative effort aims to mentor and support online gaming startups that offer innovative and viable solutions. The accelerator will focus on key areas such as real money gaming, hyper casual gaming, real-time analytics, telemetry, security, anti-cheating measures, and community and social integration.

Founded in 2006 by Bhavin Pandya and Trivikraman Thampy, Games24x7 is a prominent player in the online gaming industry, catering primarily to the skill-based gaming segment. The newly announced accelerator program reflects the company’s commitment to unlocking the gaming industry’s full potential and fostering entrepreneurship and innovation.

Key Features of GameTech Accelerate:

  1. Diverse Game Categories: Real money, casual, hyper casual, educational, simulation, strategy, and MMO.
  2. Technological Focus: Real-time analytics, telemetry, personalization, security, and anti-cheating measures.
  3. Community Engagement: Integration of startups with community and social aspects of gaming.

The accelerator program will provide selected startups with mentoring sessions from Games24x7, AWS experts, and other investors. Additionally, startups will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to potential investors in the first week of March, opening avenues for capital infusion.

The announcement of shortlisted startups is anticipated at the upcoming GAFX event in Bengaluru in January 2024. This initiative underscores the commitment of both Games24x7 and the Karnataka government to supporting the rapidly evolving online gaming sector in India.

Karnataka IT Minister Priyank Kharge emphasized the importance of supporting the online gaming sector, acknowledging its role in generating employment opportunities and fostering innovation. The government’s collaboration with Games24x7 aligns with the shared commitment to responsible innovation and empowering aspiring entrepreneurs.
