Deadpool 3 Disappointment: Juggernaut Cameo Cancelled Due to Budget Constraints

Fans eagerly awaiting the release of Deadpool 3, specifically the much-anticipated Deadpool and Wolverine installment, are in for a disappointment. The long-expected cameo of Vinnie Jones as Juggernaut in the movie has been officially ruled out. In a recent interview with Yahoo UK, Vinnie Jones revealed the peculiar reasons behind his absence and shed light on the challenges he faced during the Deadpool 2 production.

Vinnie Jones and the Juggernaut Suit Struggles

Jones, known for his portrayal of Juggernaut in X-Men: The Last Stand, expressed his love for Deadpool as his favorite movie. However, he disclosed that budgetary restrictions hindered his return to the iconic role in Deadpool 2. The mental and physical toll of donning the Juggernaut suit, combined with the constraints of the Deadpool 2 budget, ultimately led to an agreement not being struck.

“I really wanted to do it, but they didn’t have the budget to put me in the suit,” Jones explained. “It had its mental toll as well because you’re in it and you can’t do anything all day, you can only drink through a straw. So, we couldn’t strike the deal for Deadpool.”

The Unfulfilled Dream of Juggernaut vs Wolverine

While fans had hoped for a nostalgic showdown between Juggernaut and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, the dream will remain unfulfilled. Despite the enthusiasm Jones expressed for Deadpool, the practical challenges of reprising the Juggernaut role proved insurmountable for Deadpool and Wolverine.

Deadpool and Wolverine: Surprises Still in Store

Although the Juggernaut cameo won’t materialize, Deadpool and Wolverine promise a plethora of surprises. Karan Soni, the actor behind the character Dopinder in the Deadpool movies, hinted at unexpected appearances in the film. Speaking to Variety, Soni teased, “There are a lot of surprises. Let’s just say a lot of people traveled to London.”

One highly-anticipated cameo is Taylor Swift as Dazzler, adding an extra layer of excitement to the upcoming movie. As the Deadpool franchise continues to tease fans with unexpected twists, the question lingers: Which characters will make a cameo appearance in Deadpool and Wolverine?
