SBI Simplifies ATM Card Application: Online, Offline Options Available

Eligibility Criteria: To avail of an SBI ATM card, individuals must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Hold a current or savings account with SBI.
  • Fall within the age bracket of 21 to 60 years.

Online Application Process:

  1. Access SBI Net Banking: Initiate the process by logging into the SBI net banking portal using your credentials.
  2. Navigate to e-Services: Head to the ‘e-Services’ section within the portal.
  3. Select ATM Card Services: Choose the ‘ATM card services’ option from the provided menu.
  4. Request ATM/Debit Card: Initiate your application by clicking on ‘Request ATM/Debit card’.
  5. Authentication: Select your preferred authentication method – OTP or profile password – and furnish the requisite details.
  6. Provide Necessary Details: Enter details such as the desired name to be printed on the card and the preferred card type.
  7. Confirmation and Submission: Review the provided information, accept the terms and conditions, and submit your request.
  8. Await Notification: Expect updates regarding the processing and delivery timeline of your ATM card.

Offline Application Process:

  1. Reach Out to Customer Care: Contact SBI’s customer care services and follow the prompts to request a new debit card.
  2. Visit a Branch: Alternatively, visit your nearest SBI branch, procure an application form, duly fill it out, and submit it along with the necessary documents.

Written Request: For added convenience, applicants can opt to submit a written request via email to [[email protected]].

Application via YONO App:

  1. Launch the YONO App: Access the YONO app on your preferred device.
  2. Navigate to Service Request: Head to the ‘Service Request’ section within the app interface.

  4. Authenticate Using OTP: Verify your request by entering the OTP received on your registered mobile number.

Activation and Tracking: Once you receive your ATM card, activate it using various methods such as net banking, the YONO app, SMS, or customer care. Additionally, monitor the status of your card through SBI’s net banking portal, the YONO app, customer care services, or the India Post portal.
