Pune Delights in the ‘I Love Sushi Exhibition 2024’ – A Feast for the Senses

In a celebration of culinary artistry, Pune welcomes the ‘I Love Sushi Exhibition 2024,’ a captivating journey into the world of Japanese delicacy ‘Sushi.’ Organized by the Japan Foundation in collaboration with the Consulate General of Japan in Mumbai and the Indo-Japan Business Council, this traveling exhibition has found its temporary home at the Chanakya Building of MIT WPU, Kothrud Pune.

Exploring the Sushi Experience

Open to all enthusiasts, the exhibition promises a delightful exploration of Sushi through a plethora of mediums. From posters and photographs to static and working models and audio-visuals, visitors can immerse themselves in the intricate world of Sushi. It is an informative exhibition showcasing the evolution and cultural significance of Sushi. However, it’s important to note that Sushi will not be available for consumption at the event.

Dates and Location

The ‘I Love Sushi Exhibition 2024’ will be open until January 20th, welcoming visitors every day between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm. Located at the MIT WPU Campus in Kothrud, Pune, the exhibition invites attendees to gain insights into the rich history and artistry behind one of Japan’s most beloved culinary exports.

Inauguration Ceremony Highlights

The exhibition was inaugurated at the MIT WPU Campus in Kothrud, attended by esteemed personalities, including Megumi Hamuro – Council for Culture and Education, Consulate of Japan in Mumbai, Tomonari Kuroda – Language Advisor, Japan Foundation, Dr. Ravikumar Chitnis – Vice Chancellor, MIT-WPU, Siddharth Deshmukh – President, Indo Japan Business Council (IJBC), Dr. Deependra Sharma, Dean, MIT School of Business, Shefali Joshi, Program Director, Department of Hospitality Management, and Dr. Preeti Joshi, Associate Dean, MIT School of Liberal Arts.

The display incorporates traditional techniques and avant-garde creations, offering a comprehensive view of Sushi’s evolution.

Dr. Ravikumar Chitnis, Vice Chancellor of MIT WPU, urged students to explore the opportunities in Japan, emphasizing the importance of understanding Japanese culture, including food habits, language, and overall lifestyle. He emphasized Japan’s unique commitment to caring for three generations if one decides to make it their home and workplace.
