Maharashtra Mandir Parishad Gathers in Ozar for the Preservation of Temple Culture

The second ‘Maharashtra Mandir Parishad’ is scheduled to take place on December 2nd and 3rd, 2023, at Shri Vighnahar Hall in Ozar, Pune district, Maharashtra. This collaborative initiative by Shri Vighnahar Ganapati Mandir Devasthan, Lenyadri Mandir Devasthan, Shri Kshetra Bhimashankar Devasthan, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), and Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangh aims to bring together temple trustees, priests, and devotees to safeguard the rich heritage of temples.

The conference has invited Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, ensuring government representation in the inaugural session. Sunil Ghanwat, Coordinator of Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangh, revealed the participation of over 634 invited attendees, including temple trustees, representatives, priests, legal advocates for temple protection, and scholars from across Maharashtra.

The Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangh, established during the first ‘Maharashtra Mandir Nyas Parishad’ in Jalgaon, has expanded its activities rapidly. Within six months, the organization successfully implemented a Dress Code in 262 temples across the state.

Eminent personalities such as Supreme Court advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain, spokesperson of ‘Hindu Front for Justice’; Nilesh Khare, Editor of ‘Zee 24 Taas’ Marathi news channel; Mahant Sudhirdas Pujari of Nashik Shri Kalaram Mandir; Former Charity Commissioner of Maharashtra State Dilip Deshmukh; Assistant Director of Archaeology Department (Pune) Vilas Vahane; trustees of Shri Ashtavinayak Mandir; trustees of ‘Jyotirlinga Devasthan’ of Maharashtra; trustees of Sant Tukaram Maharaj Mandir, Dehu; Chetan Rajhans, National Spokesperson of Sanatan Sanstha; Ramesh Shinde, National Spokesperson of HJS, will participate in discussions on various crucial topics related to temples.
