Originating in the 16th century, Kali Puja, also known as Shyama Puja or Mahanisha Puja, pays homage to the goddess Kali. Devotees believe that worshiping the Ma Kali blue idol brings protection and courage, seeking divine blessings to overcome life’s challenges.
