Vicky Kaushal Reflects on Stardom and Hails Hrithik Roshan as an Icon

In a recent interview, Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal shared his insights on stardom, emphasizing that he believes he hasn’t achieved the true pinnacle of fame yet.

Vicky Kaushal pointed out that true stardom is measured by the number of people who flock to theaters on the opening day solely because of the actor’s presence. Acknowledging that he is still striving for this level of stardom, he expressed his dedication to working towards it.

During the interview, Vicky took a trip down memory lane, recalling a moment when he danced with Hrithik Roshan at the IIFA awards. He praised Hrithik as the last person in the industry who truly experienced a phenomenon in terms of stardom, highlighting his admiration for the senior actor.

The actor delved into the changing dynamics of stardom, drawing parallels between the eras of classic stars like Dilip Kumar, Rajesh Khanna, and Amitabh Bachchan and the contemporary stardom embodied by Shah Rukh Khan. Vicky observed that the concept of stardom is evolving for the current generation, making it more challenging to attain the level of fame witnessed in the past.

According to Vicky, the younger generation witnesses trends and surges in popularity every week, but the impact tends to fade quickly in the dynamic landscape of the entertainment industry. He anticipates that achieving the timeless stardom reminiscent of the past will be a more formidable task for the current generation.

Amidst discussions about stardom, Vicky Kaushal is actively engaged in various projects. He is part of Laxman Utekar’s period drama “Chhaava” alongside Rashmika Mandanna and is set to star in an untitled production venture by Karan Johar opposite Tripti Dimri. Additionally, he will be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Love & War” alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.

The actor’s latest appearance was in Rajkumar Hirani’s “Dunki,” a film that also featured Shah Rukh Khan, Boman Irani, Taapsee Pannu, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover among others.
