Sony Pictures and Prime Video Unveil ‘Sony Pictures – Stream’ OTT Service for Indian Audiences

Sony Pictures Television, a subsidiary of Sony Pictures Entertainment, has joined forces with Prime Video India to launch a dedicated Over-The-Top (OTT) service named ‘Sony Pictures – Stream.’ This strategic collaboration aims to provide Indian viewers with a diverse range of international movies, popular TV shows, and exclusive content from SonyLIV and Crunchyroll India. The OTT service will be available through Prime Video Channels.

The annual subscription price for ‘Sony Pictures – Stream’ on Prime Video Channels is set at an introductory rate of Rs 399. This collaborative effort expands the entertainment options for Prime members, offering seamless access to a curated collection of blockbuster movies, timeless classics, and popular TV shows.

Titles featured on ‘Sony Pictures – Stream’ include beloved movies like “Charlie’s Angels,” “Men in Black,” “Ghostbusters,” “Jerry Maguire,” “Legends of the Fall,” and “Spotlight.” TV enthusiasts can relish classics such as “I Dream of Jeannie,” “Bewitched,” and “Diff’rent Strokes,” along with recent hit shows like “A Very English Scandal” and “Loudermilk.”

Vivek Srivastava, Head of Prime Video Channels, India, expressed excitement about the collaboration, emphasizing the convenience and accessibility it brings to Indian customers. He stated, “In sync with our philosophy of super-serving our customers with choice, access, and convenience, we have worked towards offering a wide variety of content, making it all available at a single destination – Prime Video.”

Sonika Bhasin, Vice-President of South Asia at SPT, echoed the enthusiasm, highlighting the commitment to delivering high-quality content to Indian audiences. Bhasin added, “In celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Columbia Pictures, a part of Sony Pictures Entertainment, Sony Pictures – Stream spotlights the studio’s history and incredible film legacy by offering customers an incredible array of films from the studio’s beloved vault spanning the decades.”
