Bramayugam, directed by Rahul Sadasivan, commenced production in August, featuring grand shoots across diverse Kerala locales. While much of the film’s details are shrouded in secrecy, it has been confirmed by producers that Mammootty will embrace the role of the antagonist in this experimental venture. The storyline promises a unique blend of supernatural and mystical elements, grounded in the dark ages of Kerala.

Producer Chakravarthy Ramachandra of Night Shift Studios emphasized that Bramayugam is not just a horror-thriller but a rooted narrative set against the historical backdrop of Kerala’s dark ages. The film is expected to prioritize realism over flamboyance to enhance the horror and thrill elements.

Star-Studded Cast and Multilingual Release

Apart from Mammootty, Bramayugam boasts a stellar cast, including Arjun Ashokan, Sidharth Bharathan, and Amalda Liz. Christo Xavier is credited for the film’s soundtrack. Scheduled for an early 2024 release, Bramayugam is set to hit theaters in multiple languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
