The couple, through their production house GMB Entertainment, issued a warning highlighting a recent cybercrime incident involving the impersonation of Sitara Ghattamaneni on Instagram.
The statement released by the actor’s production house reads, “ATTENTION! The Madhapur police, in coordination with Team GMB, have issued a warning about a cybercrime incident involving the impersonation of Ms. Sitara Ghattamaneni on Instagram. An unidentified user has been fraudulently posing as Ms. Ghattamaneni, sending trading and investment links to unsuspecting users.”
Authorities are actively collaborating to trace and apprehend the individual responsible for these activities, aiming to prevent future occurrences. The public is urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. Namrata Shirodkar, Mahesh Babu’s wife, emphasized the issue on her Instagram, stressing that Sitara Ghattamaneni’s only authentic account is the verified one.
Mahesh Babu’s wife and actor Namrata Shirodkar shared details about the incident on her Instagram handle, captioning the note with, “Attention! This is Sitara Ghattamaneni’s only account. Any other handle is not to be trusted except the verified one (sic).”
The couple’s ten-year-old daughter Sitara has unfortunately fallen victim to identity misuse, prompting Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar to raise awareness and caution the public against engaging with fraudulent accounts.
