Pune, August 26, 2023: The completion of the impressive three-storied building for Khadki Education Society’s Vaidehi Dattaji Gaikwad Junior College is on the horizon. Krishna Kumar Goyal, the President of Khadki Education Society, shared the details during a press conference, accompanied by Dattaji Gaikwad, Vaidehi Gaikwad, Mrs. Sainyogita Girme, Vice President of Khadki Education Institute, Anil Mehta, Secretary, Anand Chhajed, J Secretary, Suryabhan Agrawal, Madhukar Tilekar, Director, and Principal Sarita Nair.
Krishna Kumar Goyal announced, “The modern and spacious new building, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, will be inaugurated next month. It stands as the sole English medium junior college in the vicinity. The three-storied structure comprises a total of 33 spacious classrooms, with 11 classrooms on each floor. It houses a fully functional IT lab, well-equipped chemistry, biology, and physics labs, along with a spacious library. Dattaji Gaikwad has overseen the construction with exceptional standards, utilizing high-quality materials and furnishings. Each classroom can comfortably accommodate 80 students, and the building features two elevators, ample parking, and an open central space for student events and activities. This establishment truly offers students top-notch learning facilities.”
Vaidehi Dattaji Gaikwad Junior College will offer education for 11th and 12th-grade students in Arts, Commerce, and Science. The institution has a history of serving underprivileged children from the Dapodi, Bopodi, and Khadki regions. The primary objective of the organization is to provide these students with a secure and enriching learning environment.
Principal Sarita Nair expressed, “Chetan Dattaji Gaikwad English Medium School has successfully completed 16 years, presently hosting 1044 enrolled students. The school employs a total of 47 staff members, including 38 teachers and support staff. This institution provides education spanning from Nursery to Junior College.”
Nair continued, “CDGEMS AND JC fosters an enthusiastic learning environment that nurtures students’ leadership qualities and emphasizes information technology and robotics through its STEM program. In collaboration with the Rotary Club of Khadki, Teach for India, and various NGOs, the institution has established a kitchen garden and a Weather Station.”
Recent school activities encompassed Foundation day celebrations, various competitions, personality development initiatives, a G20 exhibition, health tests, eye examinations, and the distribution of spectacles. The Independence Day week was observed with great fervor. The school boasts experienced and dedicated teachers, resulting in the consistent tradition of achieving 100% HSC and SSC results each year.
